Our MasterTap4 has been designed to give you a soft touch tap tempo to control the tempo of up to four pedals that accept an external tap tempo, whatever the tap tempo type.
The MasterTap4 has a remote input socket that can be used with your pedalboard controller (such as a Boss ES-8 or Gigrig G3) or a normally open momentary footswitch. You can use a Mono TS or Stereo TRS cable for the remote input.
Each output of the MasterTap4 can be configured using the internal DIP switches to one of six different tap tempo types, as listed below.
Normally Open Tip (Standard)
Cable required - Mono TS or Stereo TRS
Compatible with - Chase Bliss, EHX, Eventide, HX Stomp, JHS, MXR, Walrus Audio and more.
Normally Closed Tip (Boss)
Cable required - Mono TS
Compatible with - Boss 500, 300 and 200 series, DD-5, DD-7, DD-20, PH-3, AW-3 and more.
Normally Open Ring (FB2)
Cable required - Stereo TRS
Compatible with - TC Electronics Flashback 2.
Normally Closed Ring (Boss)
Cable required - Stereo TRS
Compatible with - Boss SY-1 and other Boss pedals that use the Ring connection for tap tempo.
Normally Open Tip & Ring (Rubberneck)
Cable required - Stereo TRS
Compatible with - Digitech DOD Rubberneck.
Normally Open Tip & Ring (Strymon)
Cable required - Stereo TRS
Compatible with – Strymon BigSky, Deco, DIG, Flint, Mobius, TimeLine and Volante.
The pedal is built with:
- Aluminium enclosure
- Neutrik plug sockets
- Heavy duty soft touch footswitch
- 2.1 mm DC socket requiring 100mA at 9v-18v centre negative
